My conclusions regarding power and cooling

  • Avoid USB-PD chargers. Make a cable so you can feed it with a good fixed voltage PSU. The specified range is 9V to 20V. I have a 12V/72W PSU. I used a USB to screw terminal block that works great for this.
  • It needs cooling for any serious use. I found an old 40mm cooler in my drawer that I used.

EDIT: If you are running from an SD Card. Make sure it is A1 rating.

This has given me a very stable system. It ran s-tui stress for several hours.

Im using the Samsung 45W Super Fast Charger… and so far so good… idk if it helps

Nothing wrong with that if it works. The one I had seemed to work but it turned out that it was the cause of random hangs and boot loops especially when attaching devices to the NVMe port. The solution was not obvious to me so I just wanted to share this experience to make an easier path for thous that struggle with weird problems. :slightly_smiling_face:
