I was looking for a way to make multiple /dev/fb* files available to the rock5b.
Currently only /dev/fb0 is created for the entire integrated graphics system but I was looking for a solution where each plug (HDMI-A-1,HDMI-A-2) can receive their own framebuffer to render from.
