Is there also a header on the Rock Pi 4 where we can connect a LiPo battery? The Rock Pi 4 already supports QC 3.0 (Quick Charging). If the board could be fully powered with a Li-Po battery there is no need for an UPS. Or you could use Rock Pi 4 as a portable.

Can the supply voltage be unregulated and float between 5VDC and 12VDC? Doesn’t the Rock Pi auto-switch between 5,9,&12 VDC and have its own internal voltage regulation?

Yes, you can. 5V is not recommended. Some dummy 9V or 12V adapter will work.

For QC, currently we select 9V because it’s the most common. For PD, we request 20V first, if not then 15V, then 12V, then 9V.

QC use D+/D- for communication. So the usb-c cable must have data wires.

According to the nb679gd datasheet, the lower input voltage, the higher efficiency. The VIN must > 5.5V.
