I installed debian image in rock pi4. but when i start updating the debian, after restart it didn’t do anything. it just show black screen only.
Issues with updateing Debian
I think apt-get update doesn’t hurt anything since the packages are not actually installed. You may check other issues such as the power. Try a fresh image writing and check if you can reproduce it.
Just wanted to mention that i had the same issue. After running apt update / upgrade, then restarting, I only have a black screen when trying to boot.
this is when booting from SD card.
It is possible that after upgrade there is something messy with X configuration files made. Are you able to connect to the board via SSH? If yes, that’s the problem. If not - there is bigger issue with the upgrade.
I thought the CPU is getting hot, so i put FAN, and it is more stable, i did update.
