Is there any way to attach SAS harddrive with Rock5B?

I have several SAS hard drives in my hand, and I am thinking about whether I can use Rock5B as a storage server.

I just plugged my LSI-9207 storage controller into Rock5B, but the controller seems do not work.

Is there idea about this thing?

How exactly you have plugged it?

Plug in via the NVME slot with a NVME to PCIE connector .

Photo please. Also did you provided 12V to it? M.2 slot only supply 5V
