Is Rock Pi X going to require device tree?

I’m looking for a single board computer that doesn’t require device tree.

It’d be great to have mainline linux support and mainline u-boot support from the beginning.

Well, the Rock Pi X is an Intel Atom chip, meaning that it actually boots using UEFI, no DTB or U-Boot needed.
