According to the factory, we were expecting the ROCK 5B 16GB units to arrive later this week, but they magically showed up this morning. Our expanded shipping staff isn’t available today, but we’ll start shipping with our current staff today. We’ll also work to get our expanded staff in the warehouse ASAP.
Orders will go out in the sequence they were received.

I bought two preorders Jan (16GB) is already in my house, preorder form half of may (4GB) was still not processed (no email received). But I think I will buy instead h96 max v58 8GB/64GB as it will be cheaper and will get better android support with GSAP and widevine l1. For linux I will use 16gb rock 5b. I’m a bit disappointed with maturity of linux at the moment, compared to n2 release rk3588 is far behind.
whats that n2 u talk about? h96 max can decode av1@120fps? if so then for a tv box its guud.
Likely a Odroid I presume, which yes as those chipsets have been out for quite a while.
We are now up-to-date on sending out tracking numbers. We were backlogged as we had to manually enter all the tracking numbers from the factory for hundreds of orders. We are shipping out the 16GB ROCK 5B units now, and these will have automated tracking number notifications as they’ll be going through our normal shipping channels.
Of course, if your email address is invalid, you won’t receive the tracking number message. If your address is valid, please check your Junk, Spam or Graymail folders if you think our notifications may have ended up in there.
But are the after pre-orders getting shipped too?
We are still working on preorders. I think technically, all orders placed are still considered preorders until we officially have all the preorders caught up and have some units in stock in our warehouse that haven’t been ordered yet.

I am one of the “lucky” ones with a 16GB preorder, which first get shipped to Ameridroid US (CA), and then to me in the EU. Marika from Ameridroid wrote to me that these should be arriving this week and then get shipped immediately. I ordered the metal case from ameridroid in the meantime and asked them for combination of the order.
Linux released for odroid n2 was in beter shape since begininnig. H6 max v58 is rockchip rk3588 based. I just paid for 8GB ram/64GB storage with wifi6, ble around $114. Fairly good price compared to bare rock 5b. If You plan to use android it makes sense to use dedicated box.

We haven’t received the 4GB or 8GB units from the factory yet. Sent out another email to our rep asking for more info on when they will arrive, along with the accessories. We’ve only been able to ship out 16GB units from our warehouse as those are the only ones that have arrived so far. Our staff is working like crazy to get them out as fast as possible.
