If I buy a Radxa Zero 3W configuration that doesn’t have eMMC memory chips built-in, and then buy memory chips and solder them onto the motherboard, will the motherboard work?
(The memory chip is KLM8G1GEAC-B031 according to the datasheet provided by the manufacturer)
It should, but the board may missing some associated passive components as well (like the decoupling capacitors over high speed signals, and 0-Ohm resistors to connect power).
Such modification will void the product warranty though, and we cannot provide support for issues related to it.
