I am waiting for the official release of kernel 6 version. (rock 3a)

I tried to create a kernel 6.6.2 environment using bsp, but it did not work as well as the official version.

I am looking forward to it. (rock-3a is a good EVK, so I have bought many so far. I would like to buy more.)

Armbian builds images based on v6.6.47 kernel: https://www.armbian.com/rock-3a/
Radxa switches to debos, some time ago @RadxaYuntian wrote that they have no resources at to release all of those updates, maybe he can speak for himself here. I would like to see 3B images

This has nothing to do with the kernel issue here.

Currently we only support a single kernel for each of our products to reduce the development effort. For ROCK 3A we are following Rockchip’s SDK kernel, which only has 5.10 as their latest version for RK356X SoCs. They told us the 6.1 SDK would be released this year.

ok, as far as I remember it was on roadmap to be released in Q1 2024, is this so much delayed?

The exact time frame they said was Q3 2024. The functionalities were ready a while ago, so they are probably polishing the details.

Thanks for explanation, hopefully we will get both 3A and 3B updated soon, until that there is something from Armbian if anyone wants to experiment.

BTW: still no kernel version on any github release pages, this is important information.

I built the following from the bsp. If necessary, I will post it somewhere.

I’m looking forward to the official version.

Thanks.
