How to:Use GPIO to connect Raspberry Pi display

How to use Rock Pi s GPIO to connect Raspberry Pi display?

You can’t.
The “S” doesn’t have a DSI interface.

i heard that the DSI interface can be controlled by GPIO.

DSI can not be controlled by GPIO. You can use the SPI screen. We have working model. @Stephen will reply the other thread you posted.

Hi, connect 3.5inch RPI LCD to ROCK Pi S V1.1 board.

OMG …Finally! got the a response from the Radxa Team…
So Can you just show me some detail of the connect?By the way, where can I buy this model of screen?
And i will thank you very much.

Pin definition of the colorful Header is showed in https://wiki.radxa.com/RockpiS/hardware/rockpiS#gpio.

@Solomon: That is an SPI display. It is NOT A DSI DISPLAY.

It means that you get to paint pictures on it manually… bit by bit.

So I maintain that you CANNOT use “Raspberry pi display” (This is THE raspberry pi display: https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-touch-display/)

You can, of course, use whatever SPI/GPIO display you like, but don’t expect it to switch on and show you a linux console.
