How to unbrick Rock Pi S?

I am purchased a Rock Pi S with NAND. While it try different OS (Radxa provided Ubuntu and Armbian) using SD card. It become brick, TTL no output, Maskrom no effect (no device detected on host pc).

  1. What should I could do to unbrick it?
  2. I found nand is has ext4 partition, in last working boot. I don’t know which OS create it automatically or already here. Will it causes to brick Rock Pi S?
  3. Even it is off-topic, but I still want to mention here, why Radxa provided Ubuntu (rockpis_ubuntu_bionic_minimal_arm64_20200315_1127-gpt.img) is crash after an apt-get upgrade? If show keep finding root partition while boot after upgrade.

You can try to boot from sd card and erase the sd nand with dd.

Thank for your quick response. But it is seem to be more difficult things.
TTL no output mean it is totally nothing output while plug power on.
I has retry a lot of things, such as:

  • Using different SD Card (Kingston/SanDisk, 16G/32G)
  • Flash into different OS image on SD Card (Ubuntu/Debian, Radxa/Armbian).
  • Try to enter RK Flash Mode by press maskrom + boot btn without SD card installed
  • SD with OS and Press press maskrom and plug power on
  • Different power cable (Via type-c/pin power directly) and power supply.

While I am finding why I cannot boot, it find something about RockPi4:
https://wiki.radxa.com/Rockpi4/hardware/spi_flash
“If the bootloader in the SPI flash corrupted, it will brick the ROCK Pi 4, which is hardware for normal user to recover.”
Is it apply to NAND also? Is it mean if os format NAND (I don’t know why, at least I do not touch NAND partition, if seem to be changed finally), will it crash bootloader and cause maskrom not working?
