you showed how to get output on external soundcard like the hifiberry…
okay - even for me porting the trick to other soundcards wasn´t that hard.
Successfully got playback from diffrent soundcards also on diffrent systems and kernel versions:
armbian focal kernel 5.x, radxa ubuntu server with radxa 4.4.154-* kernel,
rockchip provided kernel … and a lots of other mixups…
And i alway get stuck with the same results…
Playback will work but no way get any input with external soundcards…
i have minimal to no experience with linux and audio/alsa… an no idea how to get things to work…
for now i would say there is no way - but before getting completly frustrated and trying out how far rockpi4 can be thrown - please help finding a solution.
