I have a Rock 4A, the official heatsink, and a Penta hat.
Without the Penta hat I can easily use the supplied screws and spacers to mount the Rock on the heatsink, but the Penta hat requires an extra board to provide the connector for the cable to the hat. That board takes up space where the large spacers for the heatsink would normally go.
Is it possible to assemble the rock, heatsink and hat with the available spacers and screws, or do I have to go and buy additional hardware to get it all properly mounted?
The installation of that adapter board should be the same as our M.2 extension board. You can check if you can follow this guide on those steps: Rock4/hardware/M2 extend - Radxa Wiki
Thanks for the answer, it looks like the spacers from the m2 hat have a much longer thread. The ones from the Penta hat don’t protrude through the connector board. See photo: https://i.ibb.co/twrM17TT/DSC00163-opt.jpg
Those nuts that go between the heatsink and the connector board are also not included with the Penta hat or heatsink.
@setq can you check this?
