Hi, does rock3a have debian bookworm upgrade?

Now official rock3a image is based on debian bullseye, which is oldstable, with a customize kernel linux-image-rock-3a, whose version is 5.10.160-26-rk356x at posting time.

Is there debian bookworm upgrade?

Hi, we just got the bookworm SDK for RK3588 from rockchip, so rock3a still needs wait sometime to upgrade

Thanks for replying. Does this means a newer version of rock-3a(rk3568) kernel?

By the way, rock3a has rtc hardware, but in the OS it won’t work. This problem has not been solved since rock3a released. There are several discussions in this forum.
According to https://wiki.radxa.com/Rock3/Ubuntu#Test_RTC_Device ,there are 2 rtc device on rock3a, and according to Hi, has anyone run into RTC trouble with Rock 3a? kernel determine which rtc device to use at compile time, so use another rtc device has to be set at compile time. Will new OS image release solve this problem?

And about pwm fan of rock3a, pwm fan work well in the old release of OS image (before radxaOS), but pwm won’t work under new release of OS image(radxaOS), will this problem be solved in the upgrade?

Yes, we will fix these two issue in the upgrade

  • RTC
There are two rtc devices on ROCK 3A , the default used in kernel is integrated in PMU (RK809) and another one is HYN856X, we will switch the rtc device from RK809 to HYN856X at debian 11.
  • PWM
It needs do rsetup to enable pwm function, you can do a try refer to this page
    https://docs.radxa.com/en/radxa-os/rsetup/devicetree

We don’t use pmu-rtc on rock 3a, so we disabled it.

Now, hym8563 is used by default

er, pwm page is not found:

Now, the radxaOS is based on debian 11. Do you mean next upgrade of radxaOS? Will next upgrade be able to apt dist-upgrade from current release?
