Has anyone gotten Quad_SATA working on pi 4 in 2026?

I recently bought the Radxa Quad SATA hat for the Pi4B+ and im having issues all over the place…
config mismatches (penta/quad), no lights showing any activity….

im on the latest image from raspi-imager, tried the install script from radxas own wiki and tried referencing the 0.3.1 github still no joy.

i have looked at the pull requests and seen theres some fixes (which radxa should just fix) but i dont know how to fix them myself.

i dont see why radxa are even selling this when theres so many people having issues getting this running!!
its expensive and theres 12 quid charge for 2 day postage which they couldnt even get right XD

My condolances - I have no idea how the driver can be so bad. I tried fixing the code but gave up.

I ended up writing my own driver for it - it only supports fans and powers on the disks though - I don’t plan on supporting the screen or the button.

Edit: Since the driver runs pretty late in the startup, you won’t be able to use fstab for mounting - write systemd mount units or something for that. Also, you’ll probably end up encountering very specific issues down the line - I learnt nix for that reason. Without nix (or something similar) you’ll have a bad time.
