Frequency Locked at 2.90

Hi, ive installed my own cooling solution, and i haven’t been able to get past the 2.90 ghz frequency, it appears to be under clocked. You guys advertised a boost clock to 3.5, is there maybe a beta bios that i could flash that gives me more control? Am i missing anything? Secure boot would also be a great feature! So far its been a fantastic product!!

Hi friend, no need for new bios, just make sure enable the C-state and set PL1 over 12W in BIOS.

Omg the c-state and PL1 setting worked! I’m able to get 3.4ghz without disabling e-cores! Ty so much!

I’m not sure I’m setting the right things in BIOS? I’m running “stress -c 4” and seeing 50C temps and about 2.9 GHz frequencies… Is the CPU thermal throttling or power level throttling? What do I set to run a little faster/hotter? Thanks!

Worked like a charm  thanks friend. Got my 3050 over an nvme to pcie running at 3.0 x4 speeds. CPU boosting as advertised. Everything running under 140w via usb c. Gonna play me some cyberpunk on the world’s smallest gaming rig. <3 x4

Did you already set the PL1 and C-state enable?
X4 with Intel N100 CPU which will boost to 3.4GHz on a single core, whereas on all-core workloads it will top out at 2.9GHz, so it is normal.
“stress-ng --matrix 0” may can make it hotter

It is fantastic.
I have tried OCUlink work too

I’m also not sure what to set. I’ve reset the bios to default settings and enabled P1 power limits, time to 128 and PL1 to 12500. Also enabled c-states but didn’t change anything else. I cannot get a single core to reach higher than 2900Mhz. What am I doing wrong? Any chance to unlock in any other way? Also, any idea if there is an unlock to 25 W possible? I’ve used a 1mm copper shim similar to explainingcomputers.com and I’ve never exceeded 43 degrees celsius so far.
Using Windows 11 btw.

Set PL1 and C-state is enough.
You can run hwinfo to check the setting is effective on Win11

Hello Ryann, I did that, thank you. I managed to get it to work by changing the windows energy settings to High Performance. It wouldn’t go there on balanced.
