Fan speed in Bios

When changing the auto fan speed settings in Bios, the start and end temperatures of the ramp do not seem to have any effect on the fan speed. The fan seems to run at a fixed speed no matter what the temperatures are. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, when selecting a slow fixed fan speed, like 10, the fan will pulse on and off instead of running slow.

Adjust the start temp. indeed difficult to see the change. You can set the start pwm to adjust the initial speed, pwm slope to set the step speed, and reduce the full speed, the feeling will be more obvious. make sure F4 to save and exit.
The bios can see the real-time fan speed for inspection

Yes, I can set the start speed and the temperature point when the fan should start, but if I set the start point of the slope to 60 and the end point to 80 and then test the speed by running all cores at 100%, the fan seems to run at the same speed between 60 and 80 degrees. I do just listen to the fan, but I’ll try to look at the rpm also.

X2L with case or not?
Maybe lower the temperature to 40-60

This is one without a case. I use htop to monitor cpu core temperatures. Anyway, it works good with manual speed control at 100 which makes it basically noise free.
