Failing to find root device: "write error" during boot of Debian

Hello everybody,

Hope all is well!
I am getting this error while booting Debian on my N10 A:

[ 5.478059] RAMDISK: gzip image found at block 0
[ 5.481744] RAMDISK: incomplete write (31495 != 32768)
[ 5.481801] write error
[ 5.481895] Waiting for root device UUID=e8dbd6ca-540b-4343-882c-7cdac5c2a95c…

Does anyone know how to fix it?

There was a similar problem with the RockPi S that has been resolved with the 2020.06.16 release:

Fix the issue of failing to find root device. System boot log may show like this.

I’m sorry for the bug.

Do you have any access to the boot partition?

If you can access to the boot partition, edit /boot/uEnv.txt and change the initrdsize value, which is the hexadecimal size of /boot/initrd.img-$(uname -r)

Hi, @maximilian . You need to download the latest ROCK Pi N10 Debian system images from https://wiki.radxa.com/RockpiN10/downloads. Today we have released the ones.
