Extensions boards for radxa zero

Hello everyone,

Could you please advise if following to extension boards (designed for raspberry pi) are compatible with Radxa Zero?

Infrared board:

USB / RJ45 board:

Short answer is they don’t work as is, but can be made to work with varying degrees of effort.

The first one is likely to be compatible (can’t tell for certain without schematic), but you need to do some development (device tree overlay) yourself to enable the required pin in lirc.

The second one is not compatible since we use USB-C and Raspi uses micro USB. Although if you make an adapter board specifically for Zero it could work. But then again without schematic nobody can say for certain.

Thank you for prompt answer. Do you think that second board USB / RJ45 would work if it would be connected with Radxa Zero using male micro USB to male micro USB C cable?

Is there any other USB extension board that would look neat and could work with Radxa Zero without need of using cables / adapters?

Thanks

Hard to tell. They might use non standard pin assignment on their main board since they can use custom board to connect Pi and the extension board. You will need to probe it with a multimeter.

I’m not aware of any 3rd party extension board designed for Radxa Zero.

… Plug it in with a mini to usb c cable… It is simply a usb hub
