Error Write image to SPI flash from USB OTG port

Hi, I’m trying to follow the instructions in the guide to Write image to SPI flash from USB OTG port and I get the following errors:

This is mostly like a USB signal issue. Try to use the USB ports on your back of motherboard or change to another USB port on the laptop.

Btw, what’s your Linux distribution and kernel version? It’s my first time seeing the usb string of the rk3399 in maskrom mode.

I am running MxLinux. Kernel: 4.19.0-5-amd64 x86_64
I will try again with other ports and paying attention to possible errors on my part.

Just a question related to this, I try to run my new Rockpi4b v1.4 in maskrom mode, but nothing happens (both blue and green leds are on, but rkdeveloptool ld produces not found any devices!). Is that because there already exist a bootable bootloader on the SPI flash and I need to follow case 2 with a connecting wire as explained on: https://wiki.radxa.com/Rockpi4/dev/spi-install?

If blue led is on, it means it’s in bootloader stage. Yes, you can shortcut/disable the SPI flash as the link explained.
