Complete noob so please dont judge.
im having real trouble getting ds18b20 sensors to read. i have searched through forums and just cant seem to find any solutions.
i have modprobe enabled
i have w1thermsensor installed but nothig showing
have edited the config.txt file and inclued the dtoverlay=w1-gpio
can someone please help
How do you have your sensor(s) connected?
I have connected the black on sensor to Ground pin 9, the red cable of the sensor to pin 1 and yellow on sensor to pin 3. I have also tried putting a 4.7 ohm resistor between the red and yellow cable of the sensor.
Which pins on the DS18B20 do those colours correspond to?
Sounds like you’re using some sort of assembly - more than just a bare DS18B20?
Would help to give a link to that assembly.
Pin numbers refer to the 40-pin GPIO header?
Did you mean 4.7 k ohm - ie, 4700 ohm?
