Customizing the Kernel for Radxa Devices

Hey everyone

I have been exploring the basics of building the kernel from source but I am unsure about the best practices for configuration; There are any options or settings I should focus on?? Also if anyone has experienced issues or pitfalls during the customization process, sharing those would be awesome to avoid any headaches.
