Tried with Arch, Ubuntu and Debian, no luck… I think it’s a hardware thing, and maybe also cable…!! Damn…!! Had I known, I had a Mac to repair a couple of weeks ago, the thought trying never even crossed my mind…!! Damn it…!!
I had the same issue.
No matter the USB port of my PC, the cable used…
Finally fixed with after runnning on my PC
sudo su
echo -1 > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend

This has also helped my issues with `rkdeveloptool`:
echo -1 | sudo tee /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend
Very frustrating and should honestly be something the rkdeveloptool tool recommends itself after such a failure.
