Working on a project to build a 4K Projector with Rock 5B, However, I am looking to connect a 5.5-inch 4K LCD MIPI DSI Display (Sharp LS055D1SX05) to the Rock 5B. Does anybody know about MIPI DSI?

The DSI on ROCK 5B doesn’t support 4K@60 because only 4 lanes MIPI DSI is routed on the connector. For 4K MIPI panel, you should use 2ch 4lanes MIPI DSI, which is 8 lanes in total.
The LCD panel LS055D1SX05 works with hdmi-mipi dsi driver boards. I have same plans of building a custom LCD 4K projector with the kit below however the board doesn’t provide rotation feature, default is portrait. The driver board can any hdmi input, PC input can change orientation but may not other types of hdmi sources like Roku.

I have the driver board mentioned in your link, it uses the toshiba chip which only support upto HDMI 1.4 / 4K 30
