CM5 Carrier clarification

Hi there. I’m prototyping a carrier for the CM5. I’m not going to be using HDMI.

Is the 5V input mandatory? I can see pin 106 is connected to 5V_HDMI internally (on the CM5 module). I didn’t find where exactly the net goes, though (ctrl-f-ing through the PDF is a nightmare).

My question is - if not using HDMI, is providing 5V on pin 106 mandatory? Thank you!

If you don’t use HDMI function, 106 pin you can ignore, please refer to our data at https://dl.radxa.com/cm5/radxa_cm5_carrier_board_design_note.pdf

Thank you kindly for your time. I did read the document carefully, but it does not state (as far as I can recall) anything about the pin in question, other than “provide 5v on pin 106 if VCC_SYSIN < 5v”.

This pin is specifically for HDMI use. If the HDMI function is not in use, this pin does not need to be processed
