Can I connect the Radxa Zero 3W to a battery via the GPIO pins and make it work without being connected to the power? Also, does it have a battery charging circuit?
Can I use the Radxa Zero 3W with a battery?
You can certainly power it by battery, you’ll just have to find or make a battery solution that supplies a regulated 5v at the current required for your application. The SBC does not have any battery management or charging components.
Can I just make a PCB with a voltage regulator and a charging circuit? And btw, is there any way to get the d+ and d- transfered from the data USB-C port on the GPIO pins?
Hi Theophile, I may have to disagree with you. After checking the Details, it looks like the Zero 3W does indeed have a battery management component. If you take a look at the board, it has a RK817-5 which is a PMIC that supports batteries and has charging monitoring features
