I brake the SD Card slot on my brand new PI4 :(
I will order a eMMC Module
but meanwhile:
With rufus i writhed the debian image to an usb stick but the pi4 ist not booting with it.
is this possible to run it from an usbstick?

As for now it’s not possible to run all from usb stick. Boot partition still needs to be on emmc or sdcard. To boot from usb… Maybe you need to use maskrom mode, but i don’t experience with it, so can’t help much

I’d be interested to see how it broke.
Can you also explain a bit how it happened?
The Metal Cover was Borken, when I removed the case. Because the ad card looks out off the case.

Hi pumuckll. I was wondering if you managed to replace the SD card slot in the end.
I got the same problem and as you , now I am using eMMC to boot.
However, I have also NVMe attached and it is annoying having to dismantle everything each time I need to reinstall or change OS so being able to fix a new SD card slot would be a perfect solution

i tried to solder the broken part, but I stopped it .
The riskt too damgeit was to high for me.
I ordered an emmc card, now it woks without any problem.
