The Rock Pi S uses the Realtek chip RTL8723DS-CG for bluetooth, and supports Bluetooth 4
But i think many people would benefit from Bluetooth 5. I notice there are questions about why it doesn’t work already: Unable to discover BLE Beacons - Using ROCK Pi S - Radxa Forum
Is it possible to add RTL8762C - REALTEK to Rock Pi S for low-energy applications? Either by removing and replacing RTL8723 with RTL8762, or buying new boards with the RTL8762 on.
Maybe now is also a good time to ask if radxa will make a run of customized Rock Pi S, say 100 or 1000, for customers with RTL8762, and how much that would typically cost. Thank you!
