Did anybody succeed to use Atheros mini PCIe WiFi cards on Radxa E25?
I cannot force them to work. I have 2 different mini PCIe WiFi cards from Atheros, which belong to different generations even: AR5B22 and QCA6174A. Both of them do not work with E25 and behave themself the same: they do not show up among pci devices in lspci and in hwinfo --netcard
and during the box booting up such dmesg log entries are generated for pcie controller the card being attached:
[Fri Jun 9 15:22:14 2023] rockchip-dw-pcie 3c0400000.pcie: Phy link never came up
Contrary, mini PCIe WiFi cards from other vendors I can use successfully - Intel X210, for example. There can be some problems with drivers on the next steps for it in some scenarios, yes, but the device itself is detected and activated successfully always, and shown as a pci device and a network device even while there is no driver available for it.
This behaviour for my Atheros cards is the same on different OS, I checked: ubuntu, armbian and openwrt and kernel versions - 4 and 6
