Any Rock Pi CM3 OS with kernel version 5.XX?

Is there any OS build for the Rock Pi CM3 with a kernel version at 5.XX? If not, any suggestion on how to build a custom OS image with that kernel version?

P.D.
Already tried to install Armbian but it doesn’t boot.

Your problem, not from Armbian.

I didn’t understand. Do you mean that Armbian is working on the Rock Pi CM3 and I’m doing something wrong? Could you explain, please?

If possible, can you point me to any resources that I could use to learn on developing support to this board? Any links on how to get started would be helpful. Thanks

There is no support for this hardware. You were trying to boot from some random image and you are surprised that it doesn’t work. If HW is not supported, booting it up with some other image is random luck. And luck is not something that you can rely on.

I just did, but you are ignoring my help.

First, I was not surprised and second it was an image that I downloaded directly from Armbian section for the Rock Pi 3. https://wiki.radxa.com/Rock3/downloads

I just mentioned it in my original post to let other forum members that I have already try an Armbian image without success.

You sent me a subscription link to the Armbian forum, not helpful at all. Even a link to the Armbian Developer Guide would have been more useful in regards of my original question.

Don’t take me wrong, much respect for your work on Armbian but this conversation hasn’t provided any value. Thanks for your time.

Rockpi 3 is not Rockpi 3 CM. Armbian has own website and it doesn’t cover CM3. I have answered here because Armbian reputation was exposed. I understand that you didn’t know it, no hard feelings. You know now. And those that stumble on this topic.

If I would help you more than we already did (free top maintained software), you will never give anything back. In case you want to save weeks or months of your time, you know what to do. Good luck.
