Android corrupt multiple times after 7-20 days

Hello,

I’ve been running the Android image from December. Twice I have found my screen all black and when rebooting by reconnecting power it gets stuck on the animated android logo.

Reflashing Android onto the emmc and everything works again. It seems that the emmc goes corrupt or that something in the Android install breaks after some time.

I’m using a OKDo 3A power supply for RPI 4. It’s running fine 24/7 for week/weeks before error occurs, so it seems fine. Connected with HMDI and USB to touchscreen (powered separately) and official WiFi/BT chip A8.

Anyone seen something similar? Ideas?

I know it’s obvious, but you are off-spec with your power supply so I would test with one of the recommended PD supplies first.

Radxa recommends 30W https://wiki.radxa.com/Rock5/accessories/radxa-power-pd30

There is a list here that the community has tested (discount the RPi 5V fixed supply for your use case): https://wiki.radxa.com/Rock5/5b/power_supply
