I forgot to order the M.2 wireless module for my new Rock 3A. Can the USB wireless adapters be used?
Also is there another source for the M,2 wireless modules other that Allnet China? I do not need Bluetooth just WIFI either or both 2 and 5 Ghz modes. Thanks.
Adding wireless to Rock 3A
This page lists all the tested WiFi card on ROCK 3A.

For USB wireless adapter, I haven’t tested one yet.
If you have one, show me the model. Then I could check if current kernel supports it.
Hello…here is the Amazon link to the device:
And the manufacturer:

It uses the Realtek RTL8812BU which isn’t on the list. The one you have listed is on a NGFF Card not a USB dongle.
you might have to compile the driver for this as it is available with dkms and someone is also trying to add the support to linux kernel so no dkms driver will be needed in future.
It does not support AP though.
Thank you. I will check it out…no need for AP mode…
