I got the Cubie A7A and the 6540B heatsink.
I have been looking into how to install it, and I checked the guide for the Rock 4C, since there’s no guide for the Cubie A7A yet.
I noticed that the WiFi 6 chip and the (I presume) VRM get no thermal pads in the guide, so I thought of two things:
- Why not? Can I use thermal pads on these?
- If I use a single thermal pad on the WiFi 6 chip, can I double the pads on the CPU, RAM, and VRM to match the height difference between all these chips?
Mostly I am worried about uneven pressure being applied on the WiFi 6 chip.
