2 additional USB ports for this board

Friends, please tell me this question.
There is a desire to get 2 additional USB ports for this board. From the board description, I realized that there are USB signals on the GPIO comb. And there are also USB signals in the M.2 E Key connector, which by default is intended for the WIFI module.

The description on the site says, and I quote:

One USB 2.0 signal on 40-pin header

According to the ROCK 3A SKU table, there are two USB 2.0 signal lines on 40-pin header, PIN 27&28.

When you want to select this USB function, you need to modify the hardware like this.

  • Remove R90526 R90527
  • Add R90536 R90537

The table indicates that there are several board modifications that have their own SKU.
|ROCK 3A 8GB |RS117-D8U0|8GB|I2C |🟡|
|ROCK 3A 8GB with USB export|RS117-D8U1|8GB|USB |🟡|
Where on the board itself can I recognize its modification version and check its SKU?
Or maybe it can be done with special software?

And what does this mean?

  • Remove R90526 R90527
  • Add R90536 R90537
What steps do I actually need to take to accomplish this?

Does anyone have similar experience?

GPIO 27 & 28 route to I2C by default, you should disconnect them by removing the two R90526 R90527 resistor.

R90536 R90537 is NC by default, you should add these two resistor.
