Does this version have 4c+ support?
EDIT: I mounted the .img and didnt see the 4c-plus dtb so Iā€™m guessing not :frowning:

Yes only 4c, but you can try this dtb.

Thanks mara!
Any idea why the onboard NVME would not be showing up? Seems the kernel is compiled with the driver

look at dmesg output

dmesg missing any mention of NVMe and not showing any errors. Wondering if there is a uboot command missing somewhere in the config.
Noticed ethernet is also not working but not sure thatā€™s related.

u-boot is not logged in the system, the wrong DTB may be loaded, it was exchanged in /boot/uEnv.txt fdtfile=rockchip/rk3399-rock-pi-4c-plus.dtb

Setting the fdtfile to rk3399-rock-pi-4.dtb rk3399-rock-pi-4b.dtb or rk3399-rock-pi-4c.dtb allows ethernet to work but not nvme
Setting it to rk3399-rock-pi-4c-plus.dtb stops ethernet and nvme both it seems

yes, there is such a problem, here is a new dtb with fixes rk3399-rock-pi-4c-plus.dtb.zip (16.6 KB)
unzip rk3399-rock-pi-4c-plus.dtb.zip

Hi everyone,

since i installed the slarm64-current-aarch64-xfce-rock_pi_4-6.4.9-build-20230811.img on my rock 4B+ v1.73 emmc and nvme work. Btw nvme is Crucial P3 500GB.
With the rock-pi-4b-plus_debian_bullseye_kde_b19.img.xz and
rock-pi-4b-plus_debian_bullseye_kde_b17.img.xz i coudnā€™t access emmc or nvme.
Now with the slack-u-boot this works also.
Only hickup is no sound on 3.5mm jack with slack.
On Debian soundā€™s ok.
Regards and thanks for your work!

you can view all your sound cards cat /proc/asound/card and select millet in alsamixer

Thanks mara,
itā€™ll probably work, but i messed up my installation somehow. The installer didnā€™t come
up, but at the end i got an login, ā€œfixedā€ the settings and was mainly locking at storage
Now i wanted to connect the rock4 to my thinkpad ā€¦ well, sparks and smelly darkness.
So far the thinkpad powersupply is common positiv and i get up to 28V between the ground there and rock4 :frowning:
Iā€™ll sort out my mess and report after.

hi mara,
I have problems with the 6.4.9 kernel (your image): the system goes broken during the first upgrade or within first 2 hours after start

in parallel, I use the kernel 6.1.12 (your image with current upgrades) as web server with uptime up to 2 weeks

have you any suggestions what should I make to install the system (6.4.9) correct?

my hardware: rock pi 4 se

ps.: blue heart beat is nice, but could be configurable to set it off?

I have rock pi 4 kernel 6.2.7 works without problems
try changing the dtb file for your board in the /boot/uEnv.txt file

you can via /sys/class/leds/
