The 6.4.12 has died during the night (configured as rock pi 4). No heart beat, maschine frozen.
Question: after change of uEnv.txt shall I run the rebulid-initrd.sh?
regards
dyha
no, this is required when installing a new kernel
I have a question:
- how to get devicetree for kernel 6.1.62
Actually i use the device tree for kernel 6.1.12. The dtb for 6.1.62 does not contain data for rock pi 4 (which i use for 4 se).
Note: the 6.1.62 (up to date) runs stable since 1 week.
OK, other question:
- how to compile or to get the dtb file for rock pi 4 se?
regards
dyha
-
dtc
can be installed by this command on linux:
sudo apt-get install device-tree-compiler
- you can compile
dts
ordtsi
files by this command:
dtc -I dts -O dtb -o devicetree_file_name.dtb devicetree_file_name.dts
- you can convert
dts
todtb
by this command:
dtc -I dts -O dtb -f devicetree_file_name.dts -o devicetree_file_name.dtb
- you can convert
dtb
todts
by this command:
dtc -I dtb -O dts -f devicetree_file_name.dtb -o devicetree_file_name.dts
I think, I make someting wrong:
my Slarm64 system:
root@rock-pi-4:/boot# uname -a

cd linux-misc.git
make dtbs
rk3399-rock-4se.dtb.zip (60.0 KB)
the bulid does not work:
root@rock-pi-4:~/dtb/linux-misc# make dtbs

but I copied your rk3399-rock-4se.dtb.zip file into my system and adapted the uEnv.txt file
it seems to work: the heartbeat works, the system runs
thank you mara
OK, after menuconfig and saving of “default” configuration file the “make dtbs” runs
tomorrow I will check if the generated dtb file works
(the both files - generated by me and yours - seems to be exacly the sme)
question:
- is it true that the frequency of the heartbeat depends from cpu load?
no, if CPU load is required echo 'cpu' >/sys/class/leds/diy/trigger
all types of triggers cat /sys/class/leds/diy/trigger
I made some test and I am sure, that the frequency of the heartbeat depends from the cpu load (among other things)
the path /sys/class/leds/diy/
does not exist is slarm64

General question:
- sometimes I have some kernel bug messeges, where put it (for fix)?
Example:
root@rock-pi-4:~# uname -a
